Why include a service fee?

People often ask why is there a service fee included in the invoice. Here is some clarification as to what it covers.

We are professionals - Our training is extensive and is never ending. We are continually working to update our knowledge on policies as well as on locations and travel styles. As with all professionals, we require a fee for our services.

You are covered for your entire trip - When you book with us trust that you are covered from the moment of first contact to the very end of your trip. If you experience any challenges throughout your trip we are there throughout it all. When in transit we cover you 24/7. Our fees include changes that may occur during your trip.

We need to be paid - When we book your travel it is based entirely on your preference. Your trip is never based on a supplier willing to pay commission. Over the years many suppliers have reduced or eliminated commissions. We do not rely on receiving a commission but instead concern ourselves with booking the trip that is best for you.

We are connected in the industry - When booking your travel we work with our suppliers, our host agency and our consortium to ensure that you receive all of the perks that are possible. It may be a category upgrade, complimentary WIFI, early check in or complimentary breakfast. There may be resort credits or excursions that are part of the package when booked with a professional. As active members of Virtuoso we provide amenities that are not offered when you book the same item on your own.
